Heat & Sun Considerations
Please note: The darker the color, the hotter the deck will feel in direct sunlight. For hotter climates, consider lighter colors or Trex Transcend Lineage® with SunComfortable™ technology.
*Although Trex decking with heat-mitigating technology is designed to be cooler, on hot sunny days it will still get hot. Care should be taken to avoid extended contact between exposed skin and the deck surface, especially with young children.
Built for Docks & Marinas
TimberTech Vintage decking isn't just for backyard decks — it thrives in harsh waterfront environments too.
Submersible
Can be fully submerged without warping, swelling, or structural compromise.
Splinter-Free
Walk barefoot with confidence — no splinters, no rough edges, ever.
Handles Harsh Conditions
Salt spray, UV exposure, and constant moisture — composite shrugs it off.

Fire-Resistant Decking
Utah's Wildland-Urban Interface areas demand materials that meet strict fire codes. TimberTech Vintage delivers.
Ignition Resistant
Tested and rated to resist ignition from ember exposure and radiant heat.
WUI Compliant
Meets Wildland-Urban Interface building codes — approved for use in high-fire-risk areas across Utah.
Meets Strict Standards
Complies with California WUI standards (Chapter 7A) and ICC IWUIC requirements for exterior construction.
Peace of Mind
Build confidently in foothill communities, mountain retreats, and anywhere wildfire risk is a concern.
TimberTech Vintage FAQ
What makes TimberTech Vintage different from other decking?
Vintage is part of the AZEK Advanced PVC line — meaning it contains zero wood fibers. This makes it impervious to moisture, insects, and mold in ways that even premium composites can't match. The wire-brushed, low-gloss finish delivers an authentic weathered hardwood look that only gets better with time.
Is TimberTech Vintage available in multiple widths?
Yes — Vintage is one of the few decking lines that offers multi-width boards (3.5", 5.5", and 7.25"). This lets you create custom patterns and visual interest that's impossible with standard single-width boards. The Coastline color also offers a MAX board at 5.5" × 1.5" for extra structural presence.
How does AZEK PVC decking handle Utah's climate?
Exceptionally well. AZEK PVC stays up to 30°F cooler than traditional composites, won't absorb moisture during snow season, and handles UV exposure without fading thanks to the 50-year fade and stain warranty. It's also Class A flame spread rated and WUI compliant — critical for Utah foothill communities.
What warranty does TimberTech Vintage come with?
Vintage carries a Limited Lifetime Product Warranty plus a 50-Year Fade & Stain Warranty. That's among the strongest in the industry and reflects the superior durability of AZEK Advanced PVC technology.
Can TimberTech Vintage be heat-bent for curves?
Yes — one of the unique advantages of AZEK PVC is that boards can be heat-bent on site to create curved deck designs, radius edges, and custom architectural details that are impossible with composite decking.
How does Vintage compare to Trex Signature?
Both are premium products, but they use fundamentally different materials. Vintage is 100% PVC with zero wood fibers, making it completely impervious to moisture. It also offers multi-width options and heat-bending capability. Trex Signature uses a wood-plastic composite core with a protective shell. Both carry 50-year warranties.
