Fortress Railing FAQ
What types of Fortress railing are available?
Fortress offers three main railing systems: Fe26 Steel Railing (pre-welded steel with 5 infill options), Al13 HOME Aluminum Railing (affordable residential aluminum), and Al13 PLUS Aluminum Railing (pre-welded aluminum for commercial and residential use). Each system supports multiple infill styles including traditional balusters, horizontal cable, vertical cable, and Pure View glass.
What finishes does Fortress railing come in?
Fortress steel railing (Fe26) is available in Gloss Black, Black Sand, and Antique Bronze. Al13 HOME aluminum railing comes in Gloss Black, Black Sand, Antique Bronze, and White. Al13 PLUS aluminum railing is available in Gloss Black, Black Sand, and White. All finishes use Fortress's proprietary FortressShield or FortressLock powder-coating technology.
Is Fortress railing code compliant?
Yes. All Fortress railing systems are tested to meet or exceed residential and commercial building codes. Fe26 panels are tested in accordance with ICC-ES AC273 and OBC/NBCC standards. Al13 PLUS is rated for both commercial and residential applications.
How does Fortress railing compare to wood railing?
Fortress railing outlasts wood in every category. Pre-galvanized steel and premium powder coating resist rust, corrosion, UV fading, and moisture damage — no painting, staining, or sealing required. Fortress panels are pre-welded for consistent quality, while wood railing loosens over time and requires constant maintenance.
What warranty covers Fortress railing?
All Fortress railing products are backed by a Lifetime Limited Manufacturer Warranty. This covers defects in materials and workmanship, giving you long-term peace of mind that your railing investment is protected.
