TimberTech Railing FAQ
What types of TimberTech railing are available?
TimberTech offers seven railing collections across four materials: Impression Rail Express (aluminum), Classic Composite Series and Radiance Rail Express (composite), Pinnacle Rail and Statement Rail (PVC), Fulton Rail (steel), and Reliance Rail (premium vinyl). Each offers different aesthetics, price points, and installation methods.
Can I mix TimberTech railing with TimberTech decking?
Absolutely. TimberTech railing is designed to complement any TimberTech decking product. Many collections offer Drink Rail options that use your deck board as the top rail, creating a seamless look. Your railing and decking don't need to be from the same collection.
What is the warranty on TimberTech railing?
Warranty coverage varies by collection: Impression Rail Express, Classic Composite Series, Radiance Rail Express, Pinnacle Rail, Statement Rail, and Reliance Rail all carry a 25-Year Limited Product Warranty. Fulton Rail carries a 15-Year Limited Product Warranty. Matte composite colors also include a 25-Year Fade & Stain Warranty.
Which TimberTech railing is easiest to install?
Impression Rail Express is the easiest — it uses pre-assembled aluminum panels that attach directly to posts with no individual baluster fastening. Fulton Rail's panelized steel system is similarly quick. Radiance Rail Express features pre-routed baluster holes for simple composite installation.
How do I choose between aluminum, composite, PVC, and steel railing?
Aluminum (IRE) offers the sleekest modern look with the most infill options. Composite (Classic Composite Series, RRX) provides a warm, painted-wood appearance with the most customization. PVC (Pinnacle, Statement) delivers the highest moisture resistance and a crisp milled-wood look. Steel (Fulton) is the most budget-friendly with clean, narrow lines.
