Heat & Sun Considerations
Please note: The darker the color, the hotter the deck will feel in direct sunlight. For hotter climates, consider lighter colors or Trex Transcend Lineage® with SunComfortable™ technology.
*Although Trex decking with heat-mitigating technology is designed to be cooler, on hot sunny days it will still get hot. Care should be taken to avoid extended contact between exposed skin and the deck surface, especially with young children.
Built for Docks & Marinas

Splinter-Free
Walk barefoot with confidence — no splinters, no rough edges, ever.

Salt spray, UV exposure, and constant moisture — composite shrugs it off.

No sanding, staining, or sealing — just rinse and enjoy.

Utah's Wildland-Urban Interface areas demand materials that meet strict fire codes. Deckorators Summit delivers.

Deckorators Summit FAQ
What makes Summit different from traditional composite decking?
Summit uses Deckorators' Surestone® mineral-based core instead of wood fibers. This means it won't absorb water, won't swell or warp from moisture, and delivers 34% more traction when wet compared to traditional composites. It's a fundamentally different — and better — material.
How does Summit compare to the Voyage collection?
Both use the same Surestone® mineral-based technology with identical water resistance and structural performance. The difference is options: Voyage offers 6 colors and 4 board widths with cladding capability, while Summit offers 3 curated colors in standard widths at a more accessible price point. Same core technology, streamlined selection.
Is Summit decking good for pool decks and hot tubs?
Excellent choice. Because Surestone® absorbs zero water, Summit won't swell, rot, or grow mold from constant splash exposure. The micro-embossed surface provides reliable traction even when wet — critical around pools and hot tubs. It's warranted for water-adjacent installation.
What warranty does Deckorators Summit come with?
Summit carries a Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty plus a 25-Year Stain & Fade Warranty. This covers the structural integrity of the board as well as cosmetic performance — among the strongest warranties available at this price point.
Can Summit boards be installed in-ground or underwater?
Yes — all Surestone® products, including Summit, are warranted for in-ground contact and submersion. This makes Summit ideal for dock surfaces, ground-level patios, and any application where moisture exposure is constant.
